The school bus was parked outside of 660 McDonald Avenue in Kensington around 11:15 a.m. when the shooting happened, police said.

The man was struck in his right arm and taken to Maimonides Medical Center. His condition was not immediately clear.

Officials said the victim was not the bus driver nor connected to the bus company.

Police believe the man is homeless and may have broken into the empty bus when he was shot, sources told 1010 WINS.

The exact reason for the shooting as well as the man’s presence in the school bus is still being investigated.
