NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One man was shot in the chest after eight men attempted to break into his house during a home invasion in Queens early Wednesday morning.
According to police, at around 5:40 a.m., one of the eight men broke a window and tried to climb into a home located on 62nd Avenue in Flushing, waking up the owner.
The 31-year-old owner pushed the man back out the window, when one of the eight men fired two shots at him, striking him in the chest and arm, officials said.
Four of the men then jumped into a black SUV and drove off.
The other four ran off on foot, police said.
The owner was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital where he is in stable condition.
