NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was attacked at random Wednesday night as he rode a 1 train through Upper Manhattan, police said.
The 39-year-old victim was on a northbound train approaching the 191st Street station in Washington Heights around 11:15 p.m. when he was attacked by another man.
The unprovoked assailant slashed him across the chest and left arm, police said.
The victim got off at the 191st Street stop and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was in stable condition.
His attacker stayed aboard the 1 train and remained at large Thursday.
