NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was slashed in the neck and critically injured in Queens over the weekend during an argument over a parking spot, police said Tuesday as they released surveillance images of the suspected slasher.
The 26-year-old victim was attempting to park at 123rd Street and Liberty Avenue in South Ozone Park around 3:30 a.m. Saturday when his attacker—who was double-parked—started a fight with him over the space, according to cops.
During the confrontation, the mystery man slashed the victim’s neck with a sharp object, police said.
The victim suffered a life-threatening gash to the neck and was rushed by private means to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
The attacker fled the scene in a black GMC Terrain, police said. The vehicle was last seen headed southbound on 123rd Street.
