NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A man was slashed in the face and arm early Saturday morning while at a lower Manhattan subway station, police said.
The 39-year-old victim was standing on the A and C platform of the Fulton Street subway station in the Financial District when he got into a fight with another man.
Police said that the altercation escalated and the suspect, who the victim did not know, slashed him with an unknown object across the right side of his face and his right arm.
The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue and is in stable condition.
The slasher ran onto a Brooklyn-bound A train and has not been found, police said. He was last seen wearing an orange jacket and black jeans.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
