NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man smashed the windshield of an MTA bus with his scooter in the Bronx last month, leaving the bus driver with eye injuries, the NYPD said.
The man rode in front of the bus, turned around and smashed the vehicle’s windshield with his scooter around 11 a.m. on Dec. 18, police said Thursday.

The bus was on Lafayette Avenue, near Rosedale Avenue, in the Soundview section of the Bronx when the incident happened, the NYPD said.
Debris from the windshield struck the 56-year-old bus driver in his eyes, the department said. He was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

The man fled the scene after he attacked the bus and hadn’t been arrested as of Friday, police said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
