NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man who snatched a yarmulke from a 6-year-old boy's head outside of a school in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Sunday.
The NYPD released a surveillance image of the suspect Monday as its Hate Crime Task Force investigates.
Police said the boy was in front of Talmud Torah D'nitra, a school at 1005 Bedford Ave., around 11 a.m. when the man came up and grabbed the yarmulke.
The thief fled on foot with the yarmulke, according to police.
