NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —  Police on Tuesday released a photo of man wanted in a string of back-to-back chain snatchings that occurred in the Bronx and East Harlem in August.

The first incident happened at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, in front of 349 East 139th St. in Mott Haven when the suspect approached a 32-year-old man and took three chains from the victim's neck, authorities said.


The suspect then fled on a black moped to parts unknown.

The second incident happened about 10 minutes later at the Northwest corner of First Avenue and East 110th Street in East Harlem.

According to officials, the suspect approached a 38-year-old woman and snatched a necklace from her neck then fled on a moped, traveling westbound onto East 111th Street.

Minutes later at the northwest corner of First Avenue and East 100th Street the suspect approached a 58-year-old woman and grabbed necklace from the her neck before fleeing on a moped to parts unknown.
