NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD arrested and charged a 27-year-old Brooklyn man on Wednesday for allegedly spitting on and groping a young girl as she walked down a Queens street last week.
Kadeem Laguerre, of Midwood, was arrested in northern Queens and charged with first-degree sexual abuse, police said.
The incident took place just after 8 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, as the 12-year-old victim walked near 71st Street and 54th Avenue.
Police said that the girl was approached by Laguerre, who allegedly spit on her and then grabbed her buttocks before fleeing to parts unknown.
EMS transported the child to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition, officials said.
Police released surveillance images of Laguerre on Sunday in hopes that someone would recognize him.
