NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for an attacker who stabbed a man in Midtown overnight, authorities said.
The man was stabbed in his lower abdomen and left thigh approximately 10:29 p.m. at 9 W. 42nd St. across the street from the New York Public Library, officials said.
He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Bellevue in critical condition.
It is unclear what led to the stabbing or if they knew each other.
A pair of scissors was recovered at the scene, NBC New York reported.
Police have not released a description of the attacker.
An investigation is ongoing.
