Man stabbed on Manhattan bus, hours after teen shot in Bronx bus dispute

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was stabbed on a city bus in Manhattan on Sunday, less than six hours after a fight on a bus in the Bronx led to a teen getting shot on the street.

The 23-year-old man was stabbed around 10 p.m. during an altercation aboard a Bx12 bus in Inwood, police said.

The victim was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen and back of his neck at West 207th Street and Sherman Avenue, according to police.

He was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The stabbing came hours after a 15-year-old boy was shot at a Morrisania street corner following a fight on a Bx35 bus.

The teen was shot in the arm around 4 p.m. at 168th Street and Park Avenue.

He was in some sort of altercation on the bus, which spilled out onto the sidewalk, where he was shot.

He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem with non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests were immediately reported in either assault.
