NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with multiple stabbings that occurred in Manhattan on Monday.
Just before noon on February 1, officials said an unidentified man exited a gray 4-door sedan and stabbed a 31-year-old man, and a 31-year-old woman in front of 8th Avenue in Midtown.
The suspect then jumped back in the gray 4-door sedan and fled eastbound on West 36th Street, according to authorities.
Both victims suffered stab wounds to the back and were transported by EMS in stable condition to NYC Health + Hospitals /Bellevue, officials said.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male. He was wearing a gray t-shirt and black pants.
The motive is currently unknown and both victims and the suspect appear to be strangers to each other, the NYPD told 1010 WINS.
An investigation is ongoing.
