NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man accused of stealing food and causing thousands of dollars in damages to a Bronx McDonald’s last month, authorities said.
At approximately 11:10 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, the suspect entered a McDonald’s restaurant located at 85 Bruckner Blvd. in Mott Haven then walked behind the counter and removed food, officials said.
The suspect then attempted to exit the store and threw an unknown object, shattering the window, after being confronted by a patron.
The estimated value of the property damage is approximately $3,000.
The suspect fled on foot towards 132nd Street, to parts unknown.
There were no injuries reported in this incident.
The was last seen wearing an orange sweater, gray shorts and black sneakers.
