NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released surveillance images Monday of a suspect wanted for stealing nearly $10,000 in collectible cards from Tom Brady's new card store in SoHo.

The theft happened just weeks after the flagship CardVault by Tom Brady opened at 244 Lafayette St.

According to police, the man tried to purchase the cards from the store around 11:40 a.m. on Oct. 20 but his card was declined.

"Once the transaction was declined, the unidentified individual began to enter manual prompts into the contact payment terminal without the employee's knowledge to bypass the transaction being declined," police said in a written account of the theft.

He then left the store with about $9,710 worth of baseball and Pokemon cards, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
