NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Friday released a photo of a man accused of stealing a Birkin bag worth $150,000 from the lobby of a Midtown Manhattan hotel last month.
At about 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, the thief entered the lobby of The Peninsula Hotel located at 700 Fifth Ave., where he grabbed the unattended bag from the baggage holding area, authorities said.
The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot westbound on West 55th Street to parts unknown.
Officials described the suspect to be approximately 5'11" in height and bald. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, black sneakers, a black backpack, and black sunglasses.
