NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Monday released a photo of a man they are looking to identify for randomly attacking a teen girl walking down a Manhattan street earlier this month.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on March 1, the 18-year old girl was walking down the street in front of 52 East 8th Street in NoHo when she was approached by the unknown man who hit the victim with an unidentified hard object in an unprovoked attack, officials said.


The suspect then grabbed the victim by the throat causing pain, and bruising, authorities said.

The victim and suspect did not exchange any words during or prior to the incident, according to police.

The suspect, who is described as a man, 30-40 years-old fled on foot to parts unknown.

EMS responded but the victim refused medical attention at the scene.

The NYPD on Monday, released surveillance photos of the suspect from the vicinity of the incident location, after the incident, police said.
