NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man sucker punched a woman in the face for no reason at a Queens subway station last week, police said Wednesday as they searched for her attacker.
The unprovoked attack happened on a staircase of the 90th Street–Elmhurst Avenue 7-line station in Elmhurst on the afternoon of Sept. 27.
The woman was passing through the stairwell around 4:45 p.m.
when the man came up and slugged her, police said.
He quickly fled the area and remains at large. Police believe he's about 35 years old.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated by EMS at the scene.
