Around 9:45 a.m., the attacker punched the woman in the mouth on 62nd Street and Center Drive in Central Park, officials said.

While fleeing the scene, the suspect pushed an 83-year-old woman to the ground causing her to hit her head, authorities said.

The 83-year-old was taken to Cornell Hospital for observation while the 34-year-old declined medical attention.

No arrests have been made. Police do not believe the incident was a hate crime at this time.
