NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man attempted to take a 7-year-old girl from her mother while the two were waiting at a Brooklyn food truck, police said Sunday as they released a photo of the suspect.
According to police, the incident happened on Wyckoff Avenue and Jefferson Street around 8:30 p.m. Friday.
A 36-year-old woman and her daughter were waiting at the truck when the man came running by and tried to snatch the girl, police said.
The mother and man got into a struggle, and she was able to break his grip on her daughter.
The individual then fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on Wyckoff Avenue toward Flushing Avenue.
The 7-year-old girl was not physically injured during the ordeal.
