
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD is searching for a suspect in the attempted rape of a woman on a Financial District street over the weekend.
The 29-year-old victim was walking in the area of Joseph P. Ward Street and Washington Street around 1:25 a.m. Sunday when she was attacked by the man, police said.
He pushed her to the ground and attempted to rape her, according to police.
He ultimately fled the scene on foot and remains at large. Surveillance video shows him walking shirtless down a sidewalk in the area.
EMS transported the victim to Lenox Health Greenwich Village, where she was in stable condition.

The NYPD’s Manhattan Special Victims Squad is investigating the attempted rape.
