NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD released surveillance footage Tuesday of a man who they say tried to rape a woman in Midtown Manhattan over the weekend.
The 21-year-old woman was attacked around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of West 47th Street and Eighth Avenue, police said.
A man came up and tried to sexually assault her before fleeing the scene on foot, police said.
The victim was transported by EMS in stable condition to NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan.
The suspect was last seen headed westbound on Ninth Avenue, according to cops.
