NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man who allegedly threatened to stab a Trump supporter with a knife if he didn’t hand over his MAGA hat, the NYPD said Friday.
The 47-year-old supporter was on Washington Street, near West Houston Street, in Greenwich Village around 9:45 p.m. on Oct. 2 when a man he didn’t know walked up and tried to pull his MAGA hat off of his head, police said.
“Give me your hat or I will stick you,” the man said after flashing a knife at the 47-year-old, according to police.
The man fled north on Washington Street without the hat not long after, the NYPD said. The 47-year-old wasn’t injured.
