NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday while trying to get into his car early Sunday, police said.

The 61-year-old victim, whose name was not immediately released, was attempting to enter his vehicle on Washington Avenue and Dean Street in Prospect Heights around 2:15 a.m., cops said.
A driver in an SUV crashed into the victim before speeding off, according to authorities.
The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
