NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released images Thursday of a man who investigators believe slashed a victim across the face in Times Square over the weekend.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, was in front of 3 Times Square, at West 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue, around 1:30 a.m. Saturday when he was attacked.

A man walked up and slashed him across the face with a cutting instrument before fleeing southbound on Seventh Avenue, police said.

NYPD officers rushed the victim to Mount Sinai West, where he was in stable condition.

It's unclear if the two men had any interaction before the slashing.
