NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD is searching for a suspect in the rape of a 25-year-old woman steps from the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx last weekend.
The victim was attacked by the man around 1 a.m. Saturday in the area of Webster Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway South in the Bedford Park section, about a block from the famed botanical garden.
He sexually assaulted her and then fled on foot down Webster Avenue, police said.
She was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.
