NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released photos of a man who slashed a 27-year-old good Samaritan with a pair of scissors aboard a Brooklyn subway train after he tried to break up an argument earlier this week.
The attack happened at around 3:48 p.m. on Wednesday , aboard a southbound Q train near the Atlantic Avenue station in Downtown Brooklyn, authorities said.
According to police, the suspect got into a verbal argument with another male passenger, which quickly turned into a physical fight.
When the 27-year-old victim stepped in to try to calm the situation down, the suspect pulled out a pair of scissors and slashed him across the right hand, officials said.
The victim got off the train at Atlantic Avenue to get help, while the attacker stayed on the train and fled.
EMS responded and transported the victim to The Brooklyn Hospital Center with a severe laceration, where he was treated in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black pants.
