NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The NYPD released images Wednesday of a man suspected of sucker punching a woman in the face on a street in Chelsea last week—the fourth man in days to be sought or arrested for similar unprovoked attacks.
The 23-year-old victim was slugged at random last Wednesday morning at West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue, police said.
She was standing outside a building at 10 a.m. when the man came up and slugged her in the face, police said.
She suffered an injury to her nose and was transported by EMS to Lenox Health Greenwich Village for treatment.
The attacker fled on foot down Sixth Avenue, according to police.
Last week, the NYPD released an image of another man suspected of sucker punching a woman at West 23rd Street and Sixth Avenue in Chelsea last Tuesday afternoon.
On Friday, police announced the arrests of two additional men who are also accused of randomly punching women in Manhattan. One woman was punched on Fifth Avenue near Union Square last Monday, while the other was punched earlier that same day at West 16th Street and Seventh Avenue in Chelsea.

Women have been taking to TikTok in recent days to share stories of being randomly attacked by men in Manhattan.
