NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a man in connection with a string of pickpocketing incidents inside Queens stores.
Officials on Wednesday released surveillance footage that captured the suspect during one of his most recent thefts.
The first incident was reported on Dec. 13 of last year at 11:30 a.m. inside of Liberty Fish World, located at 117-01 Liberty Ave. in South Richmond Hill.
According to police, the suspect bumped into the victim, an 88-year-old man, and removed his wallet which contained his ID and bank cards.
Two days later, on Dec. 18, 2020 at 1 p.m., the suspect removed $900 in cash, as well as ID and bank cards, from the purse of a 65-year-old woman inside West Indian Farm Market at 123-02 Liberty Ave., officials said.
On Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 11:30 a.m., inside of a grocery/bodega located at 124-16 Liberty Ave., the unidentified man removed the wallet of a 73-year-old man from his jacket pocket, authorities said.
The wallet contained $200, as well as the man's ID and bank cards.
At 1:10 p.m. on Feb. 24, police said the suspect removed a 69-year-old woman's wallet from her purse while inside of a grocery bodega located at 113-18 Liberty Ave.
The wallet contained $100, her ID and bank cards, according to the NYPD.
The latest incident occurred just before 11 a.m. on Feb. 27.
Police said the suspect was inside Liberty Fruit and Produce at 117-19 Liberty Ave. when he removed a 30-year-old man's wallet from his jacket pocket. The wallet contained $400, ID and bank cards, according to police.
