NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man is facing hate crime charges after he allegedly spat on an Asian woman and attacked her with an umbrella in Manhattan Sunday, police sources told the New York Post.
According to the outlet, at about 12:30 p.m., 63-year-old Frank Rodriguez was walking on East 32nd and Park Avenue when he allegedly attacked the 54-year-old victim when he allegedly yelled "F—k you, you Asian b—h."
Rodriguez then spat on her and splashed her with water and hit on the wrist with an umbrella, sources told the outlet.
He faces charges for assault, menacing, and aggravated harassment as hate crimes and criminal possession, according to the report.
