Man who died jumping from Hudson Yards' Vessel was person of interest in mom's murder: report

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man who died after he jumped from the Vessel in Hudson Yards Monday morning was being sought in connection with his mother’s murder in Texas, according to a report.

The 21-year-old man died by suicide around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, the NYPD said.

The New York Post identified him as Franklin Washington, of San Antonio. Washington was a person of interest in the murder of his mother, who also lived in Texas, the outlet reported, citing information from police sources.

Two other people have died by suicide jumping from the Vessel since the structure opened to the public.
