NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Authorities arrested a man they said accidentally shot himself and a woman inside an apartment in Brooklyn Tuesday night, officials said.
According to police, around 10:30 p.m., the 31-year-old man was holding a gun inside an apartment on 51st Street near Fifth Avenue in Sunset Park when he unintentionally fired it and shot himself in the finger.
A 33-year-old woman who was also with him in the apartment was hit in the neck, officials added.
The relationship between the man and woman, who both suffered non-life-threatening injuries was unclear.
Police took the man into custody and charges are pending, police said.
An investigation remains ongoing.
