NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly used a gardening tool to attack a subway rider in Lower Manhattan this month.
The NYPD released images Monday of the suspect in the Aug. 9 assault aboard an A/C train in the Financial District.
The victim, a 49-year-old man, was riding the uptown train around 7:30 p.m. when the suspect swung the gardening tool at him, police said.
The tool struck the victim in the hand and legs, causing minor injuries, according to police.
The suspect fled before first responders arrived. The victim declined medical attention at the scene.
