Crazed man with knife threatens to slash dog walker in Central Park

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A knife-wielding man terrorized a dog walker in Central Park this week, threatening to slash him for no apparent reason, police said as they released images of the suspect.

The victim, a 34-year-old man, was walking his dog along East Drive—at 67th Street, just north of the Central Park Zoo—just after 12 a.m. Monday when the suspect appeared and whipped out a knife, according to police.

The stranger menaced the victim, threatening to slash him with the knife, before he ultimately fled, police said.

No injuries were reported.
