
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released surveillance footage Friday of a man wanted in connection with a rape on a Bronx street earlier this month.
It happened just after 4 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, a 25-year-old woman was walking near East 212th Street and Paulding Avenue in Williamsbridge when the suspect approached her and began a conversation.
According to police, the man then wrapped his arm around the victim, dragged her to the ground, and forcibly raped her. He then fled the scene on foot, traveling southbound towards Paulding Avenue.
The victim was transported to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center where she was listed in stable condition.
Authorities believe the suspect to be approximately 25 to 30 years of age and was last seen wearing a blue jacket, black hoody sweater under the jacket, black jogging pants and black sneakers.
