NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The decomposed body of a man was found in Newtown Creek in Queens on Thursday, police said.
The body turned up around 8:40 a.m. in the waters off Malt Drive and 54th Avenue in Long Island City, according to cops.
The man, who hasn’t been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unclear how long he’d been dead or how he ended up in the waterway, which separates Brooklyn and Queens.
The medical examiner is working to determine his cause of death.
