NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man threatened to burn down a Queens bagel shop because the business was flying Israeli flags, police said Tuesday as they released video of a suspect.
The suspect walked into Bagels & Co. on Union Turnpike in Fresh Meadows around 3:40 p.m. last Wednesday and made the threat, according to police.
The man was recording with a cellphone when he approached a worker and customers and allegedly said, "Remove those Israeli flags and shut the business down or I'll burn the building down."
No injuries were reported, police said.
The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
