NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police are searching for a thief who snatched headphones off a man's head in broad daylight as the victim walked to work in Williamsburg.

The NYPD released an image Thursday of the suspect—only among the latest alleged crooks in what's becoming a growing problem of crimes in the city involving getaway mopeds.

The 24-year-old victim was walking to work with his headphones on at Kent and Division avenues around 9:20 a.m. on Oct. 31, when the thief rode up from behind him and grabbed his headphones, police said.

The victim wasn't injured during the snatch-and-flee. The suspect fled southbound on Kent Avenue, according to cops.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
