NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A minor car accident turned violent when a man stabbed the driver of a car who collided with him in Midtown Friday night, police said.
The crash happened across from 460 West 42nd Street near Ninth Avenue around 8:45 p.m., according to officials.
The passenger of one vehicle, described as a man in his mid-30s, got out and stabbed the 52-year-old driver of the other vehicle three times, authorities said.
After attacking the driver, the man then got back into the Subaru he was in, driven by a woman in her 30s, and fled the scene, cops said.
Emergency responders transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
