NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 14-year-old boy and his 11-year-old girlfriend that had been reported missing in Brooklyn last week were found speeding in his dad's car in an Iowa town on Sunday, police said.
According to officials, Kevin Figueros, of Midwood, and Amaya Arguelles, of Bensonhurst, who were reported missing on Thursday travelled over 1,200 miles before they were pulled over by officers in Council Bluffs for speeding in his father's Toyota mini-van.
The kids were transported to the Council Bluffs Juvenile Detention Center and their parents were notified, the New York Post reports.
It is unclear why the kids left New York City.
