Moped strikes pedestrians in Herald Square leaving 3 injured, 1 critically

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A moped collision near Herald Square on Saturday night sent two pedestrians and the driver to the hospital, and one pedestrian is in critical condition, police said.

Two people were crossing the street at Sixth Avenue and West 34th Street when a moped, or two-wheeled vehicle, driving up Sixth Avenue struck them.

Everyone involved was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.

The moped driver and one pedestrian are in stable condition, while the other pedestrian is in critical condition, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
