NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 41-year-old woman was arrested for leaving her 4-month-old daughter alone in a stroller on a Bronx street Friday, according to police.

Jawana Sallie, 41, allegedly left the infant alone near the intersection of Eastchester Road and Mace Avenue in Pelham Gardens around 7 a.m., officials said.

Witnesses told police they saw a woman leave the child in the stroller and walk away.

Sallie was found about 10 minutes away from where the infant was discovered. Police arrested her and charged her with endangering incompetence.

The baby did not appear to be hurt, but was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi for a precautionary evaluation.
