VIDEO: Customer spots mouse eating veal in NYC Whole Foods deli case
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A customer spotted a mouse snacking away inside a deli case at a Whole Foods in Manhattan, a TikTok video she posted earlier this week shows.
The TikTok user's video, which was posted on Monday, shows the rodent munching on a cut of veal inside a case at the Columbus Circle Whole Foods, the New York Post reported.
The user posted a second video after the first video saying she reported the incident to a manager at the grocery store.
A Whole Foods spokesperson told the outlet the chain "immediately removed and disposed of all products in the case, performed a deep cleaning and brought in a third party service for a thorough inspection" after the sighting.
"The store diligently followed our detailed protocol in response and continues to work closely with our food safety team," the spokesperson added.
