NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman said she was sexually assaulted by an MTA bus driver after he drove her to a secluded area of the Bronx this weekend, according to police.

The 57-year-old woman was the only person aboard the BX26 when she got on at Jerome Avenue and Bedford Park Boulevard around 10:40 p.m. Friday, police told the Daily News.

The bus driver drove the woman to a secluded area and then sat down beside her, allegedly touching her breasts and forcing her hand on his crotch, police said.

The woman tried to get away, but the driver then hugged her tightly, hurting her back, according to police.

The woman called police that night. She was taken to Montefiore Medical Center with back pain.

No arrests have been reported in the incident.

"The alleged conduct – if true – is reprehensible and would go against everything this agency stands for," MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan told the Daily News. "We are cooperating fully with the NYPD's investigation."
