NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was fatally struck by an MTA bus Monday night in Staten Island, officials confirmed.
According to police, the incident occurred at about 10:25 p.m. at the Hylan Boulevard and Ebbits Street intersection in New Dorp.

The victim, later identified as 63-year-old Patrick Meehan was struck while crossing the street against the light.
According to police, the bus had the green light.
Meehan suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital North, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the bus remained at the scene.
An investigation remains ongoing.
