NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released images Wednesday of man wanted for a Bronx subway attack that left an MTA train operator hospitalized in serious condition.
The victim, a 58-year-old man, was attacked as he operated a 6 train at the Parkchester station around 10:15 p.m. last Friday.
According to police, he was advising passengers that the station would be the final stop when a man came up and spat in his face.
The man then punched him in the face multiple times with a closed fist and knocked him to the ground, where he kicked him, police said.
The suspect fled before EMS arrived and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. He was listed in serious but stable condition with lacerations and bruising to the face.
