NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An MTA worker slashed a man across the face at the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center subway station in Downtown Brooklyn early Monday, police said.

The two men got into a dispute around 1:45 a.m. that led to the 62-year-old worker slashing the 47-year-old man above his left eye, according to police.

The man was transported by EMS to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was in stable condition.

The MTA worker was taken into custody, with charges pending against him Monday.

An investigation into the slashing is ongoing, but it reportedly happened as the man was sleeping on a bench and the worker was cleaning the station with bleach.
