MTA worker suffers ‘severe’ laceration in stabbing at Times Square subway station: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed an on-duty MTA employee at the Times Square subway station this week, leaving the transit worker with a “severe” laceration.

The 30-year-old victim was on the platform of the Times Square–42nd Street station around 10:30 p.m. Monday when he and his attacker got into an argument.


During the dispute, the suspect whipped out a sharp object and stabbed the worker in the left arm, police said.

The victim suffered a severe gash and was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect fled on a downtown 1 train, police said.
