NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly knocked out a food vendor’s teeth during a vicious robbery near Times Square this week.

Images released Thursday show the man sought in connection with the attack around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at West 49th Street and Eighth Avenue.

According to police, the thief bashed the victim in the head and face with various objects—including a plastic soda bin cover—and stole roughly $3,500 from him.

The assault was so vicious that it knocked out some of the victim’s teeth.

The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

The robber fled on foot and was last seen heading into the 50th Street A/C/E station, police said. Surveillance images show the suspect on a platform at the station.
