NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Is it that sweet? We guess so!
New York City-based brand Van Leeuwen Ice Cream officially announced its collaboration with pop star Sabrina Carpenter on Wednesday, with the release of an ice cream flavor referencing her hit song “Espresso.”
“Song of the summer, meet flavor of the summer: @SabrinaCarpenter Espresso ice cream,” the company wrote on Instagram.
The flavor is going to be an espresso ice cream base, with chewy brownies, chocolate chips and swirls of fudge, and the packaging features Carpenter in her signature black and white outfit from the “Espresso” single cover.
Beginning on June 28, the VL x Sabrina Carpenter ice cream will be available in scoop shops and on the Van Leeuwen website.
The release of the limited edition item aligns with NYC Pride, and 50% of profits from the espresso ice cream sale will be donated to the Ali Forney Center, the nation’s leading nonprofit providing shelter and healthcare to LGBTQ+ youth.
Scoop shops can be found in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, six other states and Washington, D.C.
