NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The head of New York City's Department of Correction was hospitalized on Wednesday, according to a report.
City Councilman Bob Holden on Wednesday told the New York Post he and other lawmakers "were told that Commissioner [Cynthia] Brann was in the emergency room."
It wasn't immediately clear when or why Brann checked into the hospital. 1010 WINS has reached out to the Department of Correction for comment.
Brann was slated to participate in a City Council budget hearing on Wednesday afternoon, the Post reported. The hearing will be rescheduled, according to the outlet.
